Tākai NZ is an online parenting resource hub designed to support those working with families in New Zealand. Originally launched in 2004 as "Skip" (Strategies with Kids | Information for Parents), Tākai provides a wealth of resources aimed at promoting child well-being, reducing harm, and supporting whānau (families). The platform offers practical tools, learning materials, and a multi-culturally informed approach, benefiting professionals like social workers, early childhood educators, and community support staff. Tākai has been an essential resource for frontline workers, helping them in their efforts to keep children safe and enhance family support.
